B&Bs, Bristol Fashion

Company News |

It was a very busy couple of days for the eviivo team at the B&B Show in Bristol last week. Although only in its first year, the show attracted hundreds of B&B, guest house and other property owners from the South West and beyond. We spoke to visitors from as far afield as Penrith and Hexham, Devon, Derbyshire, Pembrokeshire and the Isle of Wight.

B&B Show Edit2The conference and seminar programme put together by the B&B Association was a strong draw and all of the presentations were well attended, some even having to move to a larger room to accommodate everyone. eviivo had been invited by the Association to present a session on ‘Booking and Management Technology for B&Bs’ which was well received and prompted a number of questions from the audience keen to explore the subject with the expert panel.

As always, it was great to catch up with existing customers and our tourism partners, including Destination Bristol, and to update them about the many recent enhancements to the eviivo system. We also spoke to lots of B&B owners looking for a booking solution or to switch away from their current supplier, many of which were represented at the exhibition.

B&B Show Edit1The choice of suppliers at the show reinforced the need for B&B owners to ask the right questions when considering which to chose. For instance, do they offer automatic payment card pre-authorisation? Do they consolidate all online payments and online travel agent (OTA) commissions into a single monthly statement? Do they let you manage bookings on the go with an app? Important questions when it comes to picking the right technology partner for your business.

With the success of the show, it looks likely that this will become a regular on the eviivo event schedule and a must for B&Bs and guest houses. See you next year!
