Recently we asked what the most important thing about running a B&B, guest house or small hotel was, and the overwhelming response was to have happy guests. So, to spread some Christmas cheer we asked our customers what was the nicest review they had this year!
According to TripAdvisor, independent properties with less than 25 rooms have an average review score of 4.4/5 whilst rooms with 26-100 rooms have an average of 3.97. So smaller independent properties are clearly leading the way in customer satisfaction
One guest at Ironbridge View Townhouse left this review: “My partner and I love this house and it’s always well presented and everything you need is at hand. There are some very nice shops in Ironbridge and you won’t run out of places to go or pub’s to visit that do really nice food. We like staying there so much that it has just been our fourth stay in one year and we think of it as a home from home. We had one rainy day there but nice to have a whole house to go back to and get out of the rain but the other times have been blue skies. We will return as soon as we can fit it in to this year. Thank you Andy and Julie”

When I had a cat, I would allow in the lounge where guests would pet him. Once a guest left a comment thanking me for the feline therapy, as he was feeling down and the stroking of the cat daily gave him a wonderful feeling of peace.

A thoughtful review for Pannett House read: “I do hope I can treat my friend to a few days stay at Pannett House to say thank you for being a true friend – I can’t boast enough about the beautiful place and the way it is managed – absolutely perfect in every way”

The best review is when the children give you a cuddle when they leave.

They loved our room decorations, the ‘wildness’ of our garden and of course… me!

This was one of the guest reviews for Two Hoots Campsite: “We have totally relaxed and enjoyed our stay with you, more than we have enjoyed our camping and staying in 5 star hotels and unusual getaways that we have had over our 25 years of getting out and about. You offer something unique and a much higher class than a 5 star hotel, so fresh, clean and very well kept, we just cant wait to return. Thank you.”
Caz Parham, Two Hoots Campsite
One guest said: “The bed is so comfortable, I feel as if I’m floating on a giant marshmallow”

The nicest review at Babbacombe Hall was: “I’ve stayed at many hotels around the globe and you would be hard pushed to find better customer service anywhere else! So, if you want a restful break, lovely clean rooms and a customer service better than the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, then the Babbacombe Hall Hotel is your place to be!!! (Yes, we’ve been there too!!!)”
