It’s been another bumper year for entrants to the annual eviivo Awards! We received 100s of entries and want to give a huge thanks to everyone who entered.
For 2018 we have eight awards categories, which includes two new awards – Multi-Property Wizard Award and Sweetest Homestay Award. The need for the Sweetest Homestay Award became apparent as many self-catered accommodation providers were overlooked, so we created a dedicated category. As for the Multi-Property Wizard Award, we felt that running multiple guest accommodation properties should warrant particular recognition.
Our team of judges have now concluded the difficult task of shortlisting properties for each category, which you can see by clicking the relevant award below.

There were many stand-out properties to choose from, and we have a feeling that the judges will find it extremely tough deciding on the final winners. What was striking this was the variety of accommodation, which included everything from castles to boats, from beautiful guesthouses to cosy shepherds huts, and a large number of other unique properties. There was also a wide geographical spread across the whole of the UK, with nominees in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland all being recognised in this year’s shortlists.
This year the eviivo Awards will take place on the 16th October at Quaglino’s in Mayfair, London and we hope to see as many of the shortlisted properties there as possible. It promises to be an evening of festivities for all attendees, and a recognition of the entire industry of independent accommodation providers. Make sure you dress to impress as there’ll be lots of photo opportunities! It’s a chance to network with others in the industry and receive press coverage for your property – which is good news for improving performance and getting the word out about your business.
Although we love an excuse for a party, that’s not why the eviivo Awards were created. Last year dozens of winners and shortlisted properties were featured in national newspapers, including the Daily Mail, the Daily Mirror and The Sun, which has brought them national acclaim. More than that, the eviivo Awards have had a noticeable impact on bookings for the accommodation providers involved. It’s not just the winners that experience the perks, as we’ve found that year on year, properties that were shortlisted in previous years on average command prices that are 8% higher than the rest of the sector, and enjoy a 17% higher occupancy level, across the range of nominees, regardless of the location, grade or type of accommodation they offer. Those are some exciting figures just for being shortlisted!
