eviivo partner RateGain – a global expert in travel and hospitality data and forecasting – has released their Airline Travelers Forecast for London for the end of 2022 through early 2023.
The forecast shows that 15.7 million travelers are expected to fly to London in the next 90 days (through mid-February 2023), with a noted rise in travelers from India, North America and MEA countries compared to the same period in 2019.
The biggest jump at 92% is anticipated to come from India, followed by North America at 36% and MEA countries at 33% above pre-pandemic levels.
In the next 30 days (through mid-December 2022), the number of airline travelers arriving in London is also projected to exceed 2019 levels by 10%.
The most high demand upcoming dates for travelers flying into London airports are Friday, December 2, Wednesday, December 7 and Friday, December 9.
On December 7, 91% of airline travelers will be flying solo to London. Meanwhile, December 2 and 9 will see mostly couples arriving at the gates, with solo travelers coming in second and families third.
The top five highest demand regions in England for December 9 are Kingston upon Thames, Ealing, Kensington and Chelsea, Wandsworth and Camden.
