Exciting stuff this B&B Week isn’t it? We’ve got even more fun up our sleeves with a promotion we’re running to give UK holidaymakers the chance to pay what they want for a B&B stay, based on how they think it went.
We borrowed the ‘Pay What You Think It’s Worth’ idea from Channel 4’s Four in a Bed (thanks by the way), and worked with self-selected eviivo customers to promote the offer on their own website for direct bookers. Higher or lower, it’s a bit of a gamble for the B&B hosts so we hope they’ve got their game faces on and they’re ready to give these guests the best holiday of their lives!
So how does it work? For guests wanting to take part, they simply have to visit the National B&B website to select a participating property and secure the booking with a £1 deposit. At the end of the stay the guest makes a payment to the host according to how much they feel the stay was worth.
Properties available to book include a beautiful farmhouse in Kent and a stunning riverside hotel in Suffolk.
Before B&B Week had even begun, the Pay What You Think It’s Worth venture received national press coverage in The Daily Mirror. The scheme has also received attention from Luxury B&B Magazine, Burnley Express, TravelMole and The East Anglian Daily Times.
Ed Goldswain, Marketing Director at eviivo, said: “With National B&B Week on the horizon, we wanted to introduce the ‘Pay What You Think It’s Worth’ initiative to give holidaymakers the chance to tell us what they think of their stays.
“We work with so many incredible B&Bs and are confident they can make sure the customers who sign up have a truly unforgettable experience for all the right reasons!”
The Pay What You Think It’s Worth promotion runs for one night stays from now until 22nd March 2019 – rooms are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. Properties will be judged on the quality of their food, cleanliness and entertainment, amongst other hospitality factors.
Stay tuned for more press coverage and visits…
