It’s not every day that independent accommodation properties get their time in the limelight – but at eviivo, we’re always striving to change that.

For that reason, Bed, Breakfast and Beyond award nominee Frank Lawrenson, from Rectory Manor, was delighted to be invited onto BBC Radio Suffolk to talk about running a B&B business and Rectory Manor’s nomination at the eviivo Awards 2019.

Interviewed by Georgie Jameson, Frank talked about the eviivo Awards, and how prestigious they are, as well as the challenges and rewards of running a B&B. He even shared a couple of funny anecdotes about customers good and bad, who have stayed at the historic bed and breakfast.

The property is situated in the town of Lavenham in Suffolk, which has a rich and long history, and can be traced all the way back to Pagan times. The Rectory building itself was built on a sacred spring, which was of religious significance to the Romans and early Christians. John Hopkins even wrote the Book of Psalms in the Rectory – the third best selling book of all time.

Frank Lawrenson and his team have been running the business for the last eight years, and this shortlisting has given them a boost for all of their hard work. Best of luck at the Awards night on 15th October, Frank!

The eviivo Awards 2019 are known as ‘the Oscars of the independent accommodation industry’, and are run by online booking software specialists, eviivo.
