Last month, we were excited to give our eviivo Hidden Gem of Normandy award to Catherine and Michael, the owners of the Manoir de Hérouville, in Litteau, France. The Hidden Gem award recognises the exceptional independent hosts and hoteliers, that provide an unforgettable experience.
So we thought we’d catch up with the owners and find out their story, and learn what it is that makes them so unique, and ask their advice for independent hosts and hoteliers in this short video.
Catherine and Michael have managed the property since 2013 and their goal is to offer guests a relaxing and memorable experience, allowing them to forget their daily life. The Manoir was built in the 18th century, and lies in the middle of 17 acres garden, with a beautiful lake surrounded by copper-coloured trees, and numerous secret hideouts.
Catherine says,“We ask to our guests to forget their worries, to disconnect themselves, to reconnect better afterwards.”
With 80% of their clients coming from abroad, they are proving their capability to attract worldwide travellers to their region.
