Great news! We hear that The B&B Association, under the leadership of its CEO David Weston, is making good progress in representing the interest of the B&B community with Government. Sources tell us that the Government is listening to the industry and proposes to review and ease regulations for small B&Bs and guest houses to ensure a level playing field between “shared economy” amateurs who have begun to open their properties to guests and the dedicated, experienced and professional B&B providers for whom guest satisfaction is paramount.

The Association has also been campaigning for an easier, clearer and cheaper approach to alcohol licensing for small B&Bs. You can have your say by contributing to the Home Office’s online consultation, closing on 9 December. Click here for more information

The B&B Association is the official UK trade association for B&Bs and guest houses. It is a not for profit organisation dedicated to representing and campaigning on behalf of its members, providing information and support services to members and enabling continuous professional development of the independent bed and breakfast sector in the UK.

Additionally, The B&B Association works to promote to the public the advantages of staying in independent bed and breakfast accommodation – something that we here at eviivo can really relate to!
