The Outstanding Host Award is designed to recognize the business, owners, managers and/or hosts who not only go the extra mile, but also exceed expectations for their guests and can demonstrate the building of a service culture throughout the operation of the accommodation.

The submission will prove how they have exceeded expectations for their guests, perhaps demonstrated through online reviews or how they made sacrifices for their staff and property to continue thriving through the pandemic.

Queen of Guest Experience for Touch Stay digital guidebooks, podcast host of The Guest Cast, owner/manager of two vacation rental property management companies in Missouri, including her 1902 bank building with original vaults where guests may legally launder during their stay.

As Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Ken Shapiro has overseen the growth of TravelAge West, guiding it to become the number-one travel trade brand in the Western U.S. He successfully launched Family Getaways, covering family and multigenerational travel, and Explorer, focused on adventure and experiential travel. Under his leadership, all three titles have received numerous national and international editorial, design and online awards. TravelAge West also presents the annual WAVE (Western Agents Votes of Excellence) Awards for travel suppliers; the Future Leaders in Travel Retreat, for the next generation of travel advisors; and Global Travel Marketplace (GTM) West, the top face-to-face marketplace event for advisors. He is also President of the Board of Directors of the Family Travel Association. He lives with his wife and their two children in Los Angeles.
