Last month we held our annual eviivo awards and we had so many submissions, that we needed a little bit of help to choose our winners. The Tastiest Breakfast Award was very hard to judge as we know that it’s something independent properties do so well! So, we needed an expert opinion. And who better than Prue Leith (who you may recognise from the BBC television programme the Great British Menu) to help us do it.
The three finalists were The Imperial in Plymouth, All Seasons Filey in Yorkshire and Amber House in Staffordshire.

The winner was eventually crowned as Jill from Amber House! Here’s what Gill had to say about her experience:
“It was a fantastic experience, all really positive. Everyone was so lovely and friendly. it was a tremendous experience meeting Prue, I found her so constructive and positive in her comments. And to hear her constructive criticism and her praise really meant a lot to me. Since i won, I’ve been on Derby radio, and I cooked breakfast on air for them. I’ve also been in touch with three local newspapers, so it’s really had a wonderful knock on effect.”
