Over 91% of hosts, property owners and boutique hoteliers in independent accommodations and short-term rentals say a mobile app is “extremely important” to run and manage their business, and 92% use or anticipate using a booking and property management mobile app regularly in the future. That’s according to a new survey that explores the benefits of a mobile app to improve convenience and enhance quality of life for app users.

In the new report conducted April 12 to 28, 2022, eviivo and SurveyMonkey polled 1,000 hosts, property owners and boutique hoteliers aged 18 and 70 in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Iberia with 12 questions on whether a booking and property management mobile app would be beneficial for them to run and operate their business post Covid-19.

The survey was conducted in advance of the official debut of eviivo Mobile, a groundbreaking booking and property management mobile app for hosts, property owners and boutique hoteliers in independent accommodation and the short-term rental market. The app, built from the ground up, is designed with first-of-its-kind features that allow users to manage guest reservations from anywhere, anytime — right at their fingertips.

The aim of eviivo Mobile is to improve the quality of life for eviivo customers. In a recent World Health Organization report, the pandemic triggered a 25% increase in anxiety and depression worldwide. As part of its commitment to social responsibility, eviivo takes every measure to address mental health and wellness with its partners. With eviivo Mobile, property owners, hosts and boutique hoteliers in independent accommodations have all the freedom to be remote and spend time outdoors in nature, which can significantly boost mental health and reduce stress, according to a recent Harvard Health report. The app was also launched to appease the growing sector of millennials buying second properties to enter the short-term rental market, a trend as reported by The Wall Street Journal.

The survey was split into two groups: 500 hosts, property owners and hoteliers who downloaded the eviivo Mobile app since its December 2021 soft launch, and 500 non-app users. The survey was distributed to hosts, property owners and boutique hoteliers in the US and Canada, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, and Spain. The customers polled ranged between the age of 18 to 70, and the survey took place April 11 to 28, 2022. To see the full report and survey, contact Jimmy Im.
