We take breakfast incredibly seriously at eviivo, after all it is the most important meal of the day! In fact we love breakfast so much that for last year’s awards we had the new Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith taste test the final three shortlisted properties, to find the ultimate winner – watch what happened here . And we even sponsored an award at The Worlds Original Marmalade Awards this year, attended by the Japanese Ambassador amongst others, to determine the very best of this traditional breakfast element.

This award celebrates the best breakfasts being served up to guests during their stay. This could be your traditional fry-up done brilliantly, or something more unique and quirky. This award can be based on the quality of a particular signature breakfast, the sourcing of the ingredients or the sheer range of choices available- but ultimately it’s the taste that is key in deciding the winner.

Thank you for all your entries, we have been blown away with the number and the quality of submissions that we received this year. In the end we had 3 of the best short-listed breakfast tasted by world renowned Baker Dan Lepard, Michelin Starred chef Michel Roux Jr and last year's winner Gill Jones. Bovey Cottage - Surrey
Owned by a chef guests of Bovey Cottage are treated to homemade bread, made to a Scandinavian recipe, and bread pudding made to a Caribbean recipe, whilst fruit from the garden is used to make freshly made compots. One of the most popular options here are the homemade pancakes with bacon, blueberry compote and maple syrup.
