In this month’s podcast, we speak to the wonderful Ursula from the Bridge B&B in Derry about her recent genius plan to generate free PR for her property.
She told us how, on social media, her daughter spotted a call for B&Bs to feature on a TV program. The show, Daniel and Majella’s B&B Road Trip, is about Daniel O’Donnell, a celebrated Irish singer, and his wife Majella who tour B&Bs around Ireland.
This was a great PR opportunity for the Bridge B&B who are now at high occupancy for the next few months. Ursula and her staff “haven’t a room left in the house” because of the spike in popularity caused by appearing on the show. Not to mention they got to sing and dance with Daniel!
Ursula’s story is a great example of how B&B owners and independent hotel managers can take publicity into their own hands and put themselves forward for promotion opportunities, which can really pay off!
