Meeting Tim Farron at the Lakes Hospitality show

Company News |

Last week we packed our bags, and our mascot (Wooly the Sheep), and traveled north to Cumbria and the 42nd Lakes Hospitality Trade Show. Not only was it great to meet so many of our local customers, but we also managed to meet local MP and leader of the Liberal Democrat Party, Tim Farron who opened the show from our very own stand:

Tim said: “The hospitality sector is a central part of our area’s economy, supporting jobs and growth. Everybody knows that the Lake District has some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. Thanks to the efforts of local businesses it is also one of the country’s leading hospitality destinations. This event is a celebration of all the local businesses working in this sector, bringing together the different aspects of the industry to promote their products and services. My thanks go to the organisers of this event, which I’m sure will help to boost the local hospitality industry.”

We have to agree with Tim’s sentiments, it was a fantastic show this year, and if you missed us then don’t worry, we’ll be back same time next year!

And regular readers of our blog will know, we’ve been spending a lot of time in Cumbria and the Lakes recently, thanks to working with the wonderful team at the Marmalade Awards, held at the Dalemain Mansion, so do get in touch if you’re a Lake District property and you’d like us to stop in next time we’re in the area.
