eviivo was excited to have the opportunity to sponsor the ‘Friendliest B&B’ Award at this year’s AA B&B Awards which took place at the St Ermin’s Hotel on Tuesday 13 May.

This prestigious event is now in its 21st year of celebrating the great and the good of the UK B&B community and this year was no exception.

The winners in each category were commended as offering a great standard of service to customers as well as standing out for those personal touches with special categories for Funkiest and Friendliest B&Bs in addition to the winners in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

Mark Croston, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer said of the event: “As a result of our partnership with the AA, we are in the privileged position of being involved with the B&B Awards for the third year which is a great honour.

“River Garth Guesthouse in Penrith, the winner of the AA and eviivo ‘Friendliest B&B’ award has overcome adversity in the face of flood damage in both 2005 and 2009 to win this great accolade which is a testament to owner Irene Nixon.  It really is an an amazing feeling to be involved in these awards which recognise the work taking place up and down the UK to keep the B&B industry as alive and vibrant as always.”

The winners in each category were as follows:

Best B&B in England: Prawles Court, Ewhurst Green
Best B&B in Scotland: Aikenshill House, Ellon
Best B&B in Wales: Tyddyn Mawr Farmhouse in Dolgellau
Best B&B in Northern Ireland: Whitepark House, Ballycastle
Best B&B in London: Sydney House, Chelsea

Funkiest B&B: The Bull Inn, Bury St Edmunds

Friendliest B&B: River Garth Guesthouse, Penrith

We had a fantastic time rubbing elbows with such outstanding independent accommodation providers at the AA B&B Awards and we can’t wait for next year!
