On Wednesday 21st November 2018, a groundbreaking sporting event occurred, which will be talked about in the halls of eviivo HQ for years to come…
It was the first ever football match between eviivo and Expedia! eviivo’s team was made up of staff from all areas of the business and were pitted against Expedia’s Market Managers team, based at their Angel office.
The match took place at Whittington Park in Holloway, London. A respectable 15 eviivo supporters showed up to watch the event, including eviivo’s CEO, Michele Fitzpatrick. Even though it was very very cold, the atmosphere was jovial. 
The game itself was quite eventful. Team captain, Chris, hurt his shoulder early on and had to be subbed off. Marketing Director Ed Goldswain and Salesman Dale Kirby took turns in goal.
Joseph in Sales and Adam from Activations scored goals for eviivo but Expedia put up a good fight.
At half time Junior from finance lost his wedding ring! This resulted in a search. Both teams and swept the pitch looking for it. Thankfully Joseph found it – once again the hero of the match.
The final score was 2-0 to eviivo. Director of Marketing, Ed Goldswain, who also played in goal, said: “It was a tight game, we just edged it.”
Following the eventful game, eviivo and Expedia players and supporters all shook hands and bonded over food and drinks at the Owl & Hitchhiker pub in Holloway, followed by trophies. Jill Walker, Head of Partnerships at eviivo, and Chris, eviivo’s team captain, gave out the awards. The losers received a wooden spoon for their sportsmanship.
The game was great fun, for both players and spectators, and we hope this will be the first of many fixtures in the future…
