  • On April 3, 2020, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) released a new recommendation to wear cloth face coverings in public settings.
  • On March 27, 2020, the US Federal Government passed The CARES Act, a $2.2 trillion stimulus package, which includes:
  • U.S. Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) issued guidance allowing all individual and other non-corporate tax filers to defer up to $1 million of federal income tax (including self-employment tax) payments due on April 15, 2020, until July 15, 2020, without penalties or interest. The guidance also allows corporate taxpayers a similar deferment of up to $10 million of federal income tax payments that would be due on April 15, 2020, until July 15, 2020, without penalties or interest.   • As of March 16th, the US government is calling on Americans to avoid social gatherings involving groups of more than 10 for the next 15 days and has issued a Global Level 4 Health Advisory – Do Not Travel as of March 19, 2020 instructing U.S. citizens not to travel abroad and requires that Americans who are overseas returning to the U.S. or shelter in place.
